DAGR GPS OPERATION
Conditions: Preparing for dismounted operations in an EW contested environment. Crypto key rollover will occur during your mission.
Understanding This Task
The DAGR (Defense Advanced GPS Receiver) is the military's encrypted GPS device. In an EW-contested environment, you must restrict to secure satellites only and load crypto for key rollover.
Key rollover: You must load BOTH current and next month's crypto because the mission will span a rollover period. Average Mode improves position accuracy.
Common NO-GO Mistakes
- Not loading BOTH current and next month crypto
- Not restricting to secure satellites
- Wrong waypoint data or route order
- Wrong datum (must be WGS-84, MGRS format)
Task Basis: 301-PRO-6026, 301-PRO-6011, 301-PRO-6012, 301-PRO-6016, 301-PRO-6515
- Set datum to WGS-84, format MGRS.
- Must load BOTH current and next month crypto for rollover.
- Restrict to secure satellites (EW contested).
